My favorite photo also has a great story to it. It was taken just over two years ago, when the pandemic had just begun. There wasn’t much to do, other than staying home, so I was out late at a river. While the night is not always a favorable time for cameras, it can often create more interesting photos. Taken outside of a park, (that may or may not have been closed to the public after dark) the photo features a beach towel being thrown over a portable signboard that was transmitting COVID-19 messages. The combination of the display, the motion of the towel, the darkness, and the flash on my phone created an interesting effect. While I think this might be difficult to recreate, even in the same environment, a slow shutter speed might create a similar effect.
